RETAIL THERAPY IS OKAY
WHEN I FEEL GOOD ON THE INSIDE, I LOOK GOOD ON THE OUTSIDE
MODERATION
Anything in excess is sure to be unhealthy. You can have too much religion, too much alcohol, too much sex, too much TV, you get the idea. That said, all of these aspects of life can be amazing—when you weave them into your life in moderation. Shopping applies here as well.
GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION
Here’s why I recommend giving yourself permission to embrace retail therapy in moderation: If you feel like you look good, you feel good, and you’ll exude confidence!
Whenever I feel like I have a cute outfit on, I walk down the street a little taller, with a skip in my step, a twinkle in my eye, making conversation with and smiling at people. (Hey, I’m sure you do this too!) A new workout outfit has a similar power. If I like how my pants make my legs look and my sports bra is cute and comfy, I’m going to be motivated to go harder at the gym—which bolsters your confidence.
It’s a winning cause-effect that will spur personal growth and success throughout your life.
Time to put it into practice.
Complete the activity below to brainstorm ways to make your splurges more budget friendly.
The best way to edit the list is to copy/paste into a new note on your phone.

How can I make it more “budget friendly”?
New rule: Sell TWO PAIRS (via StockX, Ebay, or local consignment stores) before I can buy ONE new pair.
Look on blogs and instagram to see what beauty experts recommend at CVS
Purchase a Dyson hair dryer and set aside extra time to do it myself at home.
Give myself a budget and only go into stores like Forever 21 because chances are I won't wear what I get very often anyways
New Rule: Only on weekends aka Friday, Saturday or Sunday
Only book on Hotel Tonight app or Expedia "name your own price"
